About
Julia Lubarsky is a ceramic artist and designer based in Austin, Texas.
With a professional background in design and an academic background in engineering, Julia has always been the embodiment of two extremes: right brain and left brain; artistic and mathematical. It is only natural that Julia’s approach to her craft is the same.
In the studio, Julia mixes wheel throwing and manufacturing methods to create pieces that are both modern and organic; architectural and handmade.
Julia draws a great deal of inspiration from her own family — her grandfather, Ira Jacobson, founded the renowned Brielle Galleries, and her great-grandfather Kalmen Motiuk, was a mid-century modern sculptor.
